Tomography
Tomography is a complex method of producing 2 or 3 dimensional images of solid objects. A computer is used to combine other images or image slices taken from many different angles into one image. The technique helps to reduce false shadows in the final image, resulting in more detail.

It is used in medical physics as a means to make images of the inside of a body.
It is most often used in PET scans, or in X-rays tomography.
