Assessing discussion

Answering questions where there is no clear cut answer isn’t easy.

Students need to practice questions where they have to structure their answer in such a way that the evidence is used to support a conclusion .

though candidates realised the substance of the argument in their answers many lost marks through not expressing themselves explicitly enough
